The Color Theory series, written by Ashley Bustamante

This is a YA sci/fi fantasy book. It’s the first book with sci/fi in it that I’ve loved. I’ve never been a huge fan of it in books. I’m not sure why I’ve always gravitated towards fantasy instead, but this book changed my mind on it.
The Juniper Ball, A Christmas Novella

The Juniper Ball, A Christmas Novella

Juniper is stood up and finds herself alone on Christmas while her friends are on vacation. But she takes a leap of faith when an envelope slips through her attic door, inviting her to a Christmas ball. However, everything she’s tried to avoid awaits her on the other side. She has a new chance at love, but only if she can navigate her ex, first.

This novella is perfect for Christians who love a romantic tale with a magical element. It contains Christian themes, has plenty of tension (instead of spice), and can be described as a portal fantasy.

The Juniper Ball has recently received feedback from beta readers and is undergoing another round of edits. This story will re-open for further feedback in November 2024. If you’re interested in becoming a beta reader for this novella, please leave a comment at the end of this post. Thank you!

An Introduction

An Introduction

Excited, rejuvenated, and inspired.

If I had to pick three things for anyone who visited this website to experience, it would be these. As I write this, it remains a simple site: information on books I’m working on, and what books I’ve read that are similar to what I’m writing. However, I have a few avenues I’d like to explore with readers such as yourself.

Quarterly email campaigning is one venture. A podcast is another, (more ambitious), prospect, and blog posting will be another road to help connect readers with stories.

I’m currently working with the aim to release my first email in October 2024. I’m yet to map out a podcast episode, however this is more likely to develop in 2025. And my first blog post is the one you’re reading.

What's going in the Email?

In October 2024, I hope to release the first email that details the stories readers can unlock, and what stories they can look forward to hearing more about. I also plan to share what books I’ve been reading, and rate them according to how enjoyable and in-line they are within the Christian worldview.

That’s all for now, but stay in touch because there’ll be more to come (Lord willing) in the future. If you’d like to know more about me, you can just head to the about page.
